Photoshoot Prep List

To make your property look its absolute best, here is a helpful list you can follow!

General Prep

  • Less is best!

  • Clean windows make all the difference in photos.

Interior

  • Clean all areas of the home. Wipe down surfaces.

  • Turn on all lights in the house. (including fireplaces, lamps, and under-cabinet lights).

  • Replacing any missing light bulbs.

  • Turn off all ceiling fans.

  • Remove small throw rugs (including doormats and bathroom mats.)

  • Remove all items from bathroom countertops, kitchens, sinks, showers, and tubs.

  • Minimize clutter and remove all items off countertops (including kitchen appliances, remotes), tables, nightstands, etc.

  • Toilet seats down, remove toilet paper, toilet bowl cleaners, plungers, etc. 

  • Remove any personal photos and items that you do not want to be included in the photos. 

  • All window coverings are fully opened and/or removed. 

  • Clear fridge of any magnets/photos.

Exterior

  • Put away water hoses, toys, cleaning supplies, recycle bins, and other miscellaneous items that are not directly part of the exterior area.

  • Arrange outdoor furniture as you would like it photographed. If there is a patio umbrella, please open it.

  • Please keep all pets restrained on a leash, in a kennel, or offsite.

  • Remove yard and window signs (home security, school, etc.)

  • Sweep/remove leaves and other items in patio areas.

  • Clean the pool and remove any toys.

  • Remove cars from driveway and park on the street where possible.

  • Keep garbage cans in garage if possible.

What can you expect while we’re on site?

  • You will be greeted by our team. We’ll have 1-3 of us on site at a time.

  • Our team will arrive on time and we’ll wear shoe covers upon entering the home.

  • Please note that our photographers are unable to provide assistance with cleaning or moving any personal property due to insurance limitations. We recommend that you make any necessary arrangements prior to the photographer's arrival. Thank you for your understanding.
